"Give the Drummer Some" is the first solo album from a member of blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. Barker previously announced angela barker that the album will be scheduled for release in September 2010, but was pushed back was released on March 15, 2011. This album is licensed under a label Interscope Records, and is produced by Barker himself with DJ Khalil, The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, RZA, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Chuck Inglish, Kool Kojak, Dr.. Luke, Benny Blanco, Dr.. Dre, Eric Valentine and A-Trak. The debut album reached number # 9 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, with sales reaching 28,000 copies in the first week of release in the United States. The album title is a reference to the name of a song by Ultramagnetic MC's, which mimic of the title song "Funky Drummer" by James Brown. The singers collaborated to support the album was confirmed, including: Slaughterhouse, The Cool Kids, RZA, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, TI, Game, Raekwon, Tom Morello, Slash, Steve Aoki, Pharrell, Clipse, Kid Cudi, Yelawolf angela barker , Snoop Dogg, Drake, Lupe Fiasco, Swizz Beatz, Bun B and Tech N9ne. Barker confirmed in an interview that he's not on this album will be a collaboration with Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge of Blink-182 member, as he thought it would be wrong to have a new song on his band's first album, and the song will be released separately as a single before the album was released in June / July 2011. The album track listing revealed on February 25, 2011. The music video for the album's first track, "Jump Down" in collaboration with The Cool Kids released. The video was directed by Nichole Ehrlich and Chris Young, and premiered on October 14, 2010 in Youtube in a regular version and a 3D version. The second music video is on the song "Carry It", which collaborated with Raekwon, RZA and Tom Morello, first aired on November 2, 2010.
